Thick Fleece Throw Blanket with a Raised Puff Face in Eight Colors

Rows of soft raised puffs, deep enough to put a finger into and watch it come back. It is the thing on the end of the bed you can see from the doorway.

A throw spends an hour a day being used and the rest of it lying across the end of a bed or the back of a sofa. Which means the surface of it matters more than anything else about it.

The surface is the whole thing

The face is drawn up into rows of rounded puffs, each row standing proud of the ones beside it. Light breaks across the top of them instead of sliding over, so from a few steps back it reads as texture rather than a flat block of color.

Fluffy underneath as well as on top

The puffs are the face, and that is the way it goes on the bed. Turn a corner back and the underside is the same fleece in the same color, soft and deep without the relief, so it is cozy against you as well as good from the doorway. The braided cream border wraps every edge and shows on both sides, with a slim dark line of piping just inside it.

Eight of them, and three are quiet

Gray, Cream and Camel go against oak and rattan and off-white walls without asking for anything back. Cream in particular disappears into white bedding until you are close enough to see the puffs.

The other five are decisions. Terracotta warms a room that runs cold, and Olive holds its own against a lot of green and a lot of wood. Pink is a proper dusty rose rather than a pastel. Lilac reads as a neutral from the doorway until you are standing next to it, and Blue is the one for a gray sofa.

Two sizes

Full is the sofa one, long enough to lie along the back of a three seater. Queen goes across a double bed with enough left over to fall down both sides.
