The fur is gathered into rows of soft rounded puffs, each one standing proud of the ones around it. It is the thing you get under at the end of an evening.

A throw is on show far more than it is in use. It lies across the end of a bed or the back of a chair all day, and then does about half an hour of actual work in the evening.

The surface is not flat, and that is the whole thing

Light breaks across the puffs instead of sliding over the top of them, which is why you can see this one from the doorway when a flat throw in the same color reads as nothing from three steps back.

The fiber is polyester, plain dyed, rated grade four for color fastness and finished anti-pilling. The puffs come back up when you stand.

The back is smooth, soft and the same color

The fur is the face, and that is the way it goes on the bed. Turn a corner over and the back is a flat velvety fleece with no fur on it at all, dyed to match the front, so a fold reads as part of the throw rather than as a lining showing through.

Two of the colors join a room and three of them change it

Cream and Taupe are the quiet ones. They go against oak and rattan and off-white walls without asking for anything back, and they are what most people end up putting in a bedroom.

Charcoal reads as a shape rather than as softness, which is what you want on a pale sofa in a room with a lot of white in it. Rose is a proper dusty pink rather than a pastel, and Sky passes for a neutral from across the room until you are standing next to it.

Which size

Small is one person in a chair, and it also folds across the end of a single bed without hanging off either side. Medium is the sofa one — it covers two people, or lies along the back of a three seater without riding up at the corners.

Large goes on the bed, at full width across a double and down both sides, and it is the one to buy if this is going to live there rather than come out in the evening. All three are the same fur and the same smooth back.
